CORNWALL MATERNITY UNIT. Medical Romance

At Penhaven District Hospital in north Cornwall, the people caring for pregnancy, birth, newborns and recovery are used to being the steady ones. They can make difficult plans, speak honestly when medicine cannot promise an outcome and keep working when a family's world changes in a single conversation. Letting another person see what they need is harder.

Cornwall Maternity Unit is a series of connected standalone contemporary medical romances, each centred on a new pair of highly competent professionals and a different part of Penhaven's expanding perinatal network. Across labour ward, neonatal retrieval, perinatal mental-health outreach, maternal-cardiac care, fetal diagnosis and postnatal recovery, the medicine is never decoration: it creates the proximity, exposes the characters' private defences and forces choices that cannot be solved by clinical skill alone.

The couples are linked by the same hospital, colleagues and evolving services, but every novel has its own central romance and complete, earned HEA. Expect workplace intimacy, professional equals, emotionally specific conflict, quiet humour, steamy closed-door heat and hopeful endings grounded in choice rather than miracles.
