CONTROLLED ENTRY
About
The Morrowick Hounds need to repair the damage they caused. Tamsin Rowe refuses to let them do it by taking over her work.
Tamsin built Breakwater Ice Project to make hockey more accessible without handing control to the loudest institution in the room. The city-owned waterfront warehouse she is fighting to secure could become a permanent home for beginner, adaptive, girls’, youth, and community programs. Hounds money and visibility could help. They could also swallow the mission whole.
Alden Rusk is the Hounds’ captain, a veteran center entering a season of contract pressure, public expectations, and too many responsibilities he has convinced himself are his to carry. When the city assigns him to work with Tamsin on a new community partnership, he expects resistance. He does not expect her to be the one person who sees straight through his press-conference calm.
She expects a polished representative. Instead, Alden keeps showing up, listening, carrying crates, taking the unglamorous jobs, and falling first.
But as the season intensifies and the club becomes increasingly interested in the story Breakwater could tell for them, private trust and public image begin pulling in opposite directions. To have any chance at something real, Alden and Tamsin will have to decide whether support can exist without control—and whether love can survive when good intentions are not enough.
CONTROLLED ENTRY is Book One in the Morrowick Rebound series of interconnected standalone pro hockey romances.
